Concrete pump pipe of 20# material

What material is used for concrete pump pipe?

As the core component of concrete pumping system, the durability and reliability of concrete pump pipe directly affects the construction efficiency and cost. In order to give you a more comprehensive understanding of our products, the following will introduce the material composition, production process and performance advantages of concrete pump pipe.

Seamless material concrete pump pipe

First, the core material of concrete pump pipe: high wear-resistant alloy steel
Concrete pump pipe needs to withstand the high-speed scouring and high-pressure friction of concrete mixture (including gravel, cement, etc.), so we use special high manganese steel or chromium-molybdenum alloy steel as the base material. These materials have the following characteristics:

Ultra-high wear resistance: by adding chromium (Cr), molybdenum (Mo) and other alloying elements, the hardness can reach HRC50 or more, and the abrasion resistance is 3-5 times higher than that of ordinary steel pipes.

Strong and tough at the same time: maintain good toughness while ensuring hardness, avoiding brittle rupture caused by impact pressure.

Corrosion resistance: the alloy composition can resist the erosion of alkaline substances in concrete, prolonging the service life.

Second, the key process of concrete pump pipe material: heat treatment and inner wall reinforcement
To ensure the performance, we processed by precision technology:

Hardening + tempering treatment: optimize the metallurgical structure of steel, so that the pipe body has both high strength and fatigue resistance.

High-frequency quenching of the inner wall: localized hardening of the inner wall of the pump tube to form a 2-3mm wear-resistant layer, further delaying wear.

Precision cold bending molding: adopting seamless steel pipe or straight seam welding technology to ensure the inner wall of the pipe is smooth and reduce the resistance of concrete flow.

Types of concrete pumping pipes and applicable scenarios
According to the construction requirements, we provide a variety of specifications of pumping pipes:

Standard pumping pipes: wall thickness of 6-8mm, suitable for conventional concrete pumping (such as C30-C50 grade).

Heavy-duty pumping pipe: wall thickness 10-12mm, for high-strength concrete (such as C60 or above) or ultra-high-pressure pumping.

Wear-resistant elbow: adopting bimetallic composite process, lined with ceramic or alloy bushings in the elbow part, solving the problem of elbow easy to wear.
